Job Details:
- Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, 36 hours per week)
- Schedule: On call and weekend requirements
- Meal-Break Length: 30 minutes
- Pay Range: $72 – $78 per hour
Description: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced PICU Nurse to join our team for a 13-week assignment. In this role, you will provide high-quality care to critically ill pediatric patients in a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care plans, as well as collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the best outcomes for the patients.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU)
- Monitor and assess patients’ conditions, administering medications and treatments as prescribed
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Educate patients’ families on care plans and provide emotional support
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
Requirements:
- Valid BLS and PALS certifications
- Minimum of 1 year of PICU experience
- Strong clinical skills and the ability to work in a high-stress environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work on call and weekends as required
