RRT ASSIGNMENT
Location: Wausau, WI
Shift: 12hr nights – EVERY WEEKEND
36 hrs per week
Assign Dates: Start Date: 03/17/2025 6 WEEKS
Summary
RRT needed for a float position between Wausau and Plover – 2 out of 3 weekends at Plover – other weekends at Wausau. Float position will require that the respiratory therapist supports all patient care areas of the hospital, including ED and general care areas. This may also require you to float to other client locations if needed. You will receive advance notice if that happens.
Responsibilities
- Assess and monitor patients’ respiratory status, providing critical care as needed.
- Administer respiratory therapy treatments and manage ventilators for patients in acute care settings.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Maintain accurate patient records using Epic and ensure compliance with medical protocols.
- Provide education to patients and families regarding respiratory health and treatment options.
- Participate in emergency response situations, applying advanced life support techniques as required.
Requirements:
- 3 years RT experience
- Active AHA BLS, AHA ACLS (NRP preferred but not required)
- RRT at time of submission
- Current WI RCP License in good standing
- Associates degree
- NICU experience preferred
- Previous Travel experience Required
Skill/ Experience Requirements:
- Able to support all areas of the hospital
- Emergency Department
- V60 BiPAP, Hamilton G5 & C1, ISTAT
- EPIC charting system
